A motion language built for joy, designed to convert.
Motion that guides, delights, and converts.
Overview
Lotto was entering India's digital retail space for the first time. The experience needed to carry the brand's joy-first philosophy through every scroll, hover, and transition. My role was to define and own the motion language across the entire platform.
Key Takeaways
The core tension was balancing expressiveness with usability. Every animation had to earn its place; communicating something, reinforcing the brand, or making the interface feel more intuitive.
Approach
I mapped every state change and interactive element across the user journey to understand where motion added value and where it didn't. The motion philosophy was simple: quick and light, with personality expressed through character rather than complexity.
Implementation
I designed the motion across the full experience; micro-animations, hover reveals, scroll sequences, and checkout transitions. To keep things consistent, I built a motion design system documenting every animation property; duration, easing, delay, and trigger conditions; giving the development team a clear, referenceable guide.
